Press Release
A fullydigital, guided journey to anticipate repairs, reduce disputes and improve thecustomer experience.
Roissy, February 12, 2026 - Volkswagen Financial Services andTchek announce the large-scale deployment of an innovative digital pre-inspection solution for end-of-lease vehicles, performed remotely throughan intuitive web app. This milestone marks a major step forward in the collaboration initiated in October 2023 between the two partners and aligns with Volkswagen Financial Services’ strategy to deliver simpler, more transparent and fullydigital customer journeys.
A 100% digital, simple and guided experience
A few weeks before vehicle return, drivers receive an SMS inviting them to carry out their own vehicle inspection directly from a smartphone or tablet, with no app download required. The web app guides users step by step through the photo capture process. Images are instantly analyzed by ALTO AI, Tchek’s artificial intelligence technology, to detect and classify damages.
A clear and objective report is then shared simultaneously with both the driver and the dealership, helping anticipate repairs and streamline the logistics of the vehicle return process.
Tangible and measurable benefits for all stakeholders
- Anticipation and transparency: drivers know the actual condition of their vehicle ahead of return.
- Reduced disputes: a prepared and documented return process limits disagreements.
- Optimized remarketing: repaired vehicles become available for resale faster.
- Economic impact: up to €300 average gain per vehicle observed during the first year.
- Operational efficiency: in 2024, Volkswagen Financial Services inspections were completedin an average of 6 minutes by drivers.
